Syria and Iran Signed in Tehran on the minutes of the eighth meeting of the follow-up committee and Business Development. The minutes of the meeting, was signed by Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Hosni Lutfi and the Iranian Minister of Housing and Urban Development Mr.Ali Nikzad refer to the importance of completion of all projects with quality and specified time periods in order to achieve the mutual benefit of both sides, Syrian and Iranian . Mr. Mohamed Al-Rahimi, Iranian Vice President stresses the importance of Syrian-Iranian relations and the need to strengthen it in different areas, Also he expresses Iran's sincere desire to expand and consolidate bilateral relations with Syria in order to achieve common interests, pointing to the broad areas of cooperation in economic, trade, free trade and the environment, joint investments, banking sectors, private sectors and medical health services.

Mr. Khalid Saluta, Assistant of the Minister of Economy, andDr. Abdul Malik Alsnaii Undersecretary of the Omani national Economic Ministry the need to increase the volume of trade exchange between Syria and Oman, which will have a positive impact on the actual economic, trade and investment between the two countries. The two sides discussed ways to increase Syrian exports to Oman and Omani exports to Syria and the possibility of setting up exhibitions for Omani products in Syria and the other for Syrian products in Oman.

The Minister of Economy and trade refers during the meeting that the coming stage will witness further cooperation with the Mauritanian side, through the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, Dr. Lutfi declares that a mutual and joint exhibitions between the two sides will be established in addition to cooperation in the field of free zones and other areas of joint cooperation . on The other side the secretary of Mauritania consider the existence of enormous wealth and opportunities and expertise in her country are in needs to a joint Syrian – Mauritanian investments , praised the remarkable development achieved by the Syrian economy during the past years.

Dr. Amer Husni Lutfi, Minister of Economy and Commerce, refers to the strategic cooperation between Syria and Turkey which cover various areas, notably oil and gas, irrigation, transportation ,and the importance of this cooperation as the consequences of the agreements concluded between the two countries are not only directly, but comes in the medium and long term.
